Data Network Administrator - updated 7/09/2010

Direct Communications Cedar Valley (DCCV), a local telecommunications provider located in Eagle Mountain, Utah is seeking applicants for a Data Network Administrator (DNA).  This individual will be responsible for maintaining DCCV’s broadband WAN/LAN networks primarily focusing upon the Layer II and Layer III levels.  Duties within this scope include monitoring the fiber optic backbone capacity, numerous routers, firewalls, switches/hubs, access and servers, distribution to the end user customers and other company applications.  The DNA is responsible to install and test all hardware, software and system upgrades as well as maintenance operations.  Job will require the ability to trouble shoot and fix broadband issues from the backbone provider to the end user.  DCCV delivers broadband to customers utilizing both DSL and FTTP technologies.  The DNA will be required to help develop and implement strategies to deliver leading edge broadband services to a wide range of end user customers.  The DNA will be expected to operate in an organized engineering and operations environment.  Must be familiar with Cisco Network Administration, CCNA would be helpful.  The DNA must be familiar with PHP programming, SQL databases, Open Source Linux, Radius Server Maintenance, SNMP Coding, Access Lists, Routes on Catalyst Switches and NTOP Server applications.
DCCV is more interested in experience than education, but either computer science or information services education would be complementary.

Temporary Laborer (updated 7/15/10)

Direct Communications Cedar Valley is looking for a Temporary/Seasonal laborer. This position will be full time, $12/hour, no benefits, and will run until November.

Persons applying must be able to work outside, lift and shovel, have a valid driver's license, and follow directions.
